Regular sessions

Measuring Impact: LEED, Arc and ESG

Wednesday, Nov. 2 | 1:30–2:30 p.m. | Room 203/204

The outcome of a prioritized ESG strategy is to benchmark and report on quantitative and qualitative data related to nontraditional topics that supplement financial disclosures to provide company investors and other stakeholders with a more complex and comprehensive view of the performance of the company. The third-party verification and certification provided by LEED and the Arc software platform offer an ongoing element to support long-term ESG strategy implementation and tracking. They gain credence through various reporting frameworks and sustainable measurements such as GRESB, GRI, PRI, CDP, TCFD and UNSDG.

The Great Convergence: Green Building, ESG and Sustainability

Thursday, Nov. 3 | 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. | Room 205/206

Together, green building and ESG are powering a new generation of market transformation, driven by engaged investors and impact-oriented investment vehicles. Led by industry leaders from the U.S. and Australia, this session will provide a global overview of this emerging area of practice with a focus on complementary and synergistic aspects of green building and ESG. We will address big picture drivers, consider market priorities, and look forward and consider how green building and ESG will work together in the next generation of financial products.

Building Benchmark Boo-boos from CST Underdogs

Thursday, Nov. 3 | 4–5 p.m. | Room 209/210

Everybody loves an underdog! Those of us practicing in the Central Standard Time (CST) Zone often feel like the underdog compared to our coastal counterparts. Whether it's cheap energy costs, debilitating solar/utility policies, equity/budget gaps or simply misaligned perceptions, we are often the last to be asked for meaningful contributions on a global scale. We are giving voice to the underdogs by engaging a unique CST team with speakers from San Salvador, Memphis, and Little Rock. Our CST underdogs intend to blow up your perceptions by showcasing award-winning innovative building projects they've benchmarked using Arc, the mistakes and wounds they experienced along the way, and their unique, aggressive, intelligent and simple solutions.
